Our Souper Star selection for a panini is Rhonda Benton.... Introducing the Benton.
" Education is a very important part of my life and I truly believe that education is the key to making a better world. One very important aspect of education is providing field trips - hands-on, immersive experiences that can significantly enhance student engagement, knowledge retention, and understanding of concepts. They do this by connecting classroom learning to real-world applications, often leading to improved academic performance. They also promote social development and critical thinking skills by exposing students to diverse perspectives and environments.
Most people are not aware that our students must pay the cost of using buses in order order to travel. The cost of gas has limited the number of places that we can go. I would like to raise money to help cover the costs of buses for field trips to allow our students to have more affordable experiences."
Rhonda has been a friend of the shop before the shop was even open - and we are thrilled to present her panini - Tender juicy bbq pulled pork French fried onion, spinach, our housemade pimento cheese, and New York sharp cheddar cheese yields a rich, decadent, soul satisfying flavor and texture combination. Be sure to try it today!
Each panini purchased allows a portion of the sales to be donated to the Field Trip Fund for the Anson Early Collage.
Our Souper Star selection for a soup is Katelynn Kennedy Dermid, and she is offering Kate's Game Day Chili
After the indulgences of the holiday, a good solid chili is the perfect option during the bleak winter months. Ground pork, ground sirloin, and pork country ribs join pinto and black beans, hominy, pepper, onions, and tomatoes with a host of seasonings - a hint of cinnamon rounds out the flavors perfectly.
"My son Lewis and I frequent Ansonia Soup Company often, eager to see what amazing desserts are available to go with their delicious meal. Ansonia soup Company has a huge place in our hearts. This has been a staple meeting place to eat with family and invite friends for long talks over a comforting meal. We love this place and the people in it.
We would love for the proceeds of this classic chili to go to Generation Students, a non-profit that creates high-energy camps and events for middle school and high school students. "
